(told US of operating from Fox holes on the beach) He joined from Illinois and served from 1942-45. WW2 He then worked for Stokely Van Camp and was responsible for the Gatorade acquisition. He topped off his career by owning the Indianapolis Indians baseball team. His name is Hank Warren jr. USMC WW2 Msgt _Radio Man Still sending Morse code on a straight key!!!! Henry r. (Hank) Warren Jr.DOB_ March 7, 1918...DOD_July 18, 2010 , was 92 Warren, the recipient of the Bill Orwig Medal, was a master sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. An Honorably Discharged Veteran, he served his country 1942-45 attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a Communications specialist (RM) Upon military discharge and American Legion Member. Warren attended Beloit College in Wisconsin and later received a degree in the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He worked at Keene-Belvidere Canning Co., Lever Brothers and Stokely Van Camp. During his time as executive director and vice president of marketing for Stokely, he was responsible for the purchase and introduction of Gatorade. A retired entrepreneur, Warren owned a French winery, was chairman of the board for the Indianapolis Indians, and has been recognized in The World Who's Who of Finance and Industry and The World Who's Who of Commerce and Industry. Hank was Chairman of the Board of the Indianapolis Indians during the creation of the ‘new' Victory Field. Warren was awarded Indiana's highest distinction, the Sagamore of the Wabash, by Gov. Harold Hanley in 1960. He was made an Honorary Citizen of Tennessee by Gov. Frank G. Clement in 1965 and a Kentucky Colonel by Gov. Louis B. Nunn in 1971. His numerous memberships include the Indianapolis Athletic Club, American Business Club the American Legion and Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Warren was an Indianapolis resident. By Chuck Crist
